All good things must come to an end. Just as that favorite pair of Levis eventually succumbs to the wear and tear of daily life, sometimes we must say good-bye to a "faithful friend" who has provided a thousand memories for our clients.

We kicked off the new Millennium by retiring "old 99" (inset) -- a drift boat with 16 years of guide boat stickers and seasons behind it....and thousands of miles of smiles accumulated during those years. And "new 99" started the season in great form during one of its first outings on the Kenai River in Y2K. Bill Vizzolini did the honors by landing a beautiful 45 pound May Kenai king on an absolutely perfect day on the water.
